Cape Point Nature Reserve, 20 minutes drive. Popularly perceived as the junction of two of the earth’s most contrasting water masses.

Kirstenbosch Gardens, 25 minutes drive, runs along the eastern slopes of Table Mountain. The outdoor summer concerts, where you con take a picnic and relax on the lawns are always a favourite, for locals and visitors alike.

Penguin colony at Boulders Beach, 10 minutes drive. Nestled in a sheltered cove just south of Simon’s Town, Boulders has become World famous for its unique land based African penguin colony, and magnificent wind sheltered, safe beaches.


Historical Simon’s Town. 15 minutes drive. Tucked along the shore between the mountain and the sea, Simon’s Town has developed into a charming coastal town with many gracious buildings, hidden corners and cobbled streets to delight the explorer.

Outdoor activities. There is plenty to keep the adventurous happy: snorkelling at Long Beach, scuba diving in the many coves, deep sea fishing with experienced charter operators, and sea kayaking. The local country club offers golf, bowls and squash. For hikers the mountains above the town and in the Cape of Good Hope Reserve offer many enjoyable hiking trails.
